wtf: Episode 22: Tomatillos

Today we explore Tomatillos, also known as Mexican tomatoes. These distant cousins of the gooseberry are plump, juicy, tart, and tangy. And they go perfectly with braised pork and peppers, which is why I turned them into a green pork chili! Yum.

Great episode. Green pork chili is also a good way to us up slow cooker pork.

Totally agree! In fact, I was going to make the whole recipe, slow cooker based. But I figured, you can’t really sear the meat in the slow cooker, so using the dutch oven allows for it to be a one pot thang.

    Holy awesome!
